Sports Updates Term 2

October Sports Update                                                                                                                                                      Once again Ann Edwards have attended one of the many sporting events planned  for the year. It started last week, with Sports Hall Athletics for Year 3 and 4. They had a very enjoyable afternoon at Kingshill School. They came up against 4 local schools. The children showed great sportsmanship throughout the event with  ongoing support for each other during the difficult races. As they awaited the results the smiles on their faces were  enough for the parents. As the results were read out the smiles grew bigger when they realised they had won the event. Congratulations to Year 3 and 4 continuing their on going competitive experiences.

Year 5 and 6 teams  also showed their competitive nature in Sports Hall Athletics on the 15th November. Followed quickly by the year 5 and 6 football tournament on the 17th November.

Well done also to the twenty Water Sports pupils on completing their Paddle board, canoe and kayak certificates.            It’s been a great start to the year

December  Sports Update

It had been a quite term leading up to Christmas. Ann Edwards had another very good time at the network football competition. The team were managed by Mr Vaughan and he could not be more proud of their attitudes. It was, unfortunately, a horrible day- wet and cold. The team, made up of year 6 pupils,  could not have done any more. They were excellent supporting one another on and off the pitch. They finished 3rd in their group and did not manage to qualify to the knockout stages but shoed true sportsmanship throughout.
