Science - Yeast Races

Sycamore class carried out an experiment which enabled them to observe how yeast makes dough rise through the process of fermentation. The children compared a yeast solution (cup A) and a yeast and sugar solution (cup B). The children observed the solutions over 30 minutes and found out that the yeast and sugar solution moved faster than the yeast alone. Sycamore class discovered that fermentation was carried out faster when sugar was present (cup B).
