In Term 1, Intel invited some Y4, 5 & 6 pupils to visit their offices in Swindon, to share their new technology and inspire young learners. The children worked in pairs to drive a robotic car around a complex circuit, having to avoid obstacles and keeping inside the track - easier said than done when the controller can't see the track and had to follow their partner's instructions! The children also used coding instructions to control temperature kits and chose their own formulae to make their own instructions. Lastly, we were honoured to hear Paralympian Danielle Brown (double gold medallist in Archery) speak about striving for goals, persevering and never giving up. With Danielle's moving speech about the hurdles she's overcome in her life to achieve all that she strove for, it truly was an inspirational day for all.
