National Anti-Bullying Week.
During the week 13th to 17th November pupils and staff at Ann Edwards Primary School joined in a National Anti-Bullying week to focus on :- identifying bullying, talking about what bullying is and how we all have a responsibility to address it, creating short scenes to discuss, learning songs to help us to be strong and stand up to bullying and learning a Power Pose!
Following a very successful week with the children in school our Year 6 Team, led by Mr Mobey and Miss Sowden, presented an Anti-Bullying evening for parents. The evening was very well attended with over 40 parents taking part. It started off with some thought provoking and empowering songs from our fantastic choir, followed by a presentation by Mr Mobey, then workshops led by Year 6 pupils. Our thanks to everyone who attended for their very positive feedback and participation. All the adults attending were happy to take up the challenge of the one minute Power Pose :)
Below you will find uploaded the ' Anti-Bullying Presentation' from the evening and also a slide show. As a school we are committed to Safeguarding and teaching pupils how to stay safe and deal with any challenging situations. The strategies learnt can be applied to many contexts and also allow our pupils a better understanding of what bullying is and how collectively to deal with it. .
