Toy addition

We read Kipper's Toy Box and then counted our own basket full of toys, ensuring careful counting by touching each toy. We counted up to 10, thinking about what is 1 more each time and we counted back from 10, thinking about what is 1 less each time. We then took amounts of toys by selecting number cards and then we added 2 groups of toys together to make an addition number sentence. We learnt how to make an addition sign and a 'makes' sign using our arm signals.
