On Wednesday the 23rd January, the year 5 and 6 classes were taken to the forest school, the outdoor classroom and a Miss Sheldon’s classroom, and found different characters from certain fairy tales spread around the school. Each of them shared their side of the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Characters included the Big Bad Wolf, The Woodcutter and Little Red Riding Hood. The children gathered information about what each of the characters had to say; they all had completely different tales and each one of them thought that they were not in the wrong. We felt sorry for the wolf and saw him in a different light. At the end of the session we put all of our information together and discussed our findings. It was a very enjoyable lesson.
