On Thursday 15th October Ann Edwards Primary School presented our ‘Harvest Service’ The service, Collective Worship, welcomed new reception pupils and parents to the school and show cased a range of harvest presentations from the different phases, EYFS, KS1 Lower KS2 and Upper KS2.The hall was beautifully decorated using all the produce collected over the previous two weeks. Our thanks to all who helped put together such a fantastic display and to Mrs Harris for organising this. We hope that you will enjoy the photos from our Harvest gallery. We started the service with a popular hymn Autumn Days; shared a super EYFS song of the Big Red Combine Harvester; KS1 sang the Easy Peasy Harvest song; Y3 and some of Y4 shared their Poems and things, spelling out HARVEST and sharing their ideas! Miss Laws’ class sang a Conkers song; Y5 and 6 shared their Harvest Rap, which they had written and performed from scratch. Our collective worship ended with the hymn ‘Thank you Lord’ and a prayer led by Miss Sowden. We would like to thank all of the children and parents for their amazing contributions that totalled 746 kg. The winning classes were GL 157 Kg and EC 91Kg and they have had their chocolate cakes!!!!! This was shared equally between the village and Cirencester Food Bank. Our village Harvest walk was on Friday 16th October and local residents were thrilled not only with their gifts of food but also with the visits and letters from the children. This is an annual community event which we all enjoy and hold dear as part of our Harvest celebrations and offers of thanks. Linking fabulously with our value this term of ‘Generosity’.
