‘Learning and Achieving Together in a Caring Community’
We had great fun exploring Forest School in our first session today. To enter we had to find a Beech tree ticket in honour of our class name. We then found a see-saw in the willow den to play on and decided to make more of them so we had lots to use. We also made use of all of the lovely Autumn leaves to create leaf animals and people.
We had great fun learning how to whittle wood to take off the bark. We then decorated the bark with coloured pens and magic thread to create our own magic wands. We then explored the cold 'cinders' of the fire and thought about why Cinderella's nickname was 'Cinders'.
No such thing as bad weather when it's Forest School. We fully embraced the lovely rainy weather today by having great fun splashing in puddles.
We had a lovely last session in Forest School making our own Christmas decorations to take home. We collected sticks which we then dried and cut up into different sizes to create our own glittery Christmas trees.
